In 2021, it will be 50 years since War came on the scene.. and embodied the exact opposite-- peace, love and a good time. They've always seen themselves as a band as a band that comes from the streets and makes street music accessible, danceable songs that speak to everyday life Everyday life. Their audience is broad and diverse, and their songs are anthemic and perfect for singing along Sing-alongs - especially "Why Can't We Be Friends" and "Low Rider." In the '70s and '80s they toured Europe and the USA extensively and are still touring and are still touring regularly today - assuming a Pandemic provided.
